This Privacy Policy explains how the $NIKEPIG Meme Machine (the "Service") collects, uses, and shares personal information.
Who we are: the $NIKEPIG team, operator of the $NIKEPIG Meme Machine ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Information we collect
- Account information — the email address you use to create and sign in to your account, and your password, which we store only as a one-way bcrypt hash (never the password itself).
- Content you provide — the topics, prompts, captions, mascot details and images you upload, descriptions of friends you add to a meme, and the memes generated for you.
- "Star me" photos — the photo you upload is sent to our AI providers to create your meme and is not stored by us; the resulting meme is saved to your account.
- Payments and wallet data — the transaction hash, asset, amount and US-dollar equivalent of each payment, the sending wallet and stake addresses, and, if you vote, your wallet's stake address and the signed vote message. Blockchain transactions are public and permanent; we cannot remove them from the blockchain.
- Browser identifier — the app stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage and sends it with each meme you create, so that memes you make before signing in can be linked to you; it is stored with those memes on our servers and stays in your browser until you clear this site's data.
- Usage and device data (our own analytics) — our own analytics script, served from our domain, stores a random visitor identifier in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we can recognise repeat visits from the same browser; it stays until you clear this site's data. It also keeps a short-lived queue of events waiting to be sent. With it we record the pages and in-app screens you view, the page you landed on, the address of the page that referred you, any campaign (UTM) tags in the link, device type, browser, operating system, screen and window size, language, how far you scroll and how long you spend on each section, and the elements you click (the element's type, identifier and CSS classes, up to 100 characters of its visible text, its link address, where on the page you clicked, and the section and screen it was on). Our servers record the IP address your visit came from (which can indicate your approximate location) and, if you are signed in, link the visit to your account. This data is stored on our own servers. In addition, your browser asks ipwho.is (or, if that fails, ipapi.co) for information derived from your IP address — country, region, city, approximate latitude and longitude, time zone and internet provider — which those services receive your IP address to provide, and sends it to us with the analytics above.
- Security data — your IP address is used to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse, and we record the IP address used to create each meme. Where human verification is enabled, your IP address is also processed by Cloudflare Turnstile.
- Referral data — the referral code, if you arrived through a referral link (kept in your browser's local storage until you sign up).
- Public gallery — if our team approves a meme you created, its image and captions, and the topic and mascot name shown with it, may be displayed publicly in the community gallery and used in our marketing (see Section 6 of our Terms). Your email address is never shown with it.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating your mascots and memes.
- To verify payments on the Cardano blockchain and activate your plan.
- To show memes our team has approved in the public community gallery and in marketing for the Service, including on our X account.
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
- To respond to support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information with the following recipients only as needed to operate the Service.

The Cardano blockchain is public: payments and their addresses are permanently visible to anyone.
Prompts and content sent to our AI providers may be retained by them for a limited period (typically around 30 days) for abuse-monitoring and reliability purposes, under their own policies.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not set cookies. The app uses your browser's local storage for your sign-in details, plan and preferences, the random browser identifier and any referral code described in Section 1, the analytics visitor identifier and queue of unsent events, and a short-lived human-check token, and session storage to cache the location lookup for the current visit. Our analytics do not read "Do Not Track" signals; you can clear this data at any time in your browser settings.
5. Data retention
- Deleting your account in the app removes your account, the memes and mascots saved to your account, and your plan and credit records. Competition entries and votes and referral records are kept, and memes you made before signing in that were never saved to your account are not removed automatically; email support@nikepig.com to have them deleted.
- Analytics records, including IP addresses, are kept to understand usage and secure the Service; email support@nikepig.com and we will delete the analytics records associated with your account or device.
- Payment records are kept where accounting requires.
- Records on the Cardano blockchain cannot be deleted by us or anyone else.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA or UK) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, and to data portability. Email support@nikepig.com or open a support ticket on Discord.
7. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers operate. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
